You sound open and brave in your relationship with your daughters. That’s great to hear.
Of course, this is a difficult topic. They’re your daughters and you are their father. It goes deep, all the way to an instinctual, animalistic urge to protect and simultaneously demonstrate a form of male dominance. As a man, you also know men, and I can only imagine the whole prospective of this to be scary as hell (…). On the other hand, your ‘evolved’ self knows that the best way to keep your daughters safe, sane and thriving in this regard is to encourage healthy and open dialogue. I could go on, and on…and on.
Your response makes me very hopeful for future generations of father/daughter relationships though :)
