But also, the article could be called “It’s time we talk about sex” period. Seriously! It’s so crazy that one of the most normal things on the planet, that we all engage in (to various degrees) has to be so goddamn hard to talk about. Even more so, we’re scared to discuss with the people closest to us, like our life partners that we’re literally sharing our lives—and sex lives with.

I never talked to my ex-husband about sex (or anything sensitive for that matter, but that’s a long story). Now, I talk A LOT and in great detail. It changes everything!

I think that if we communicated and connected more and on deeper levels with our partners, sex would, as a result, be much more tender—independently of speed and friction!
