Thank you so much for sharing! I feel you and your pain, and I really admire your strength and honesty. It’ s so hard to set boundaries with family, and I’m so happy you’re taking care of yourSelf.

Coming from a Pentecostal-Christian family, I recognize so much of this. My father is the same, and most topics are off-limit and he has no idea who I really am (and thinks I might be a satanist). While my father got progressively more close-minded, my mother luckily went in the opposite direction. When she divorced my dad almost 15 years ago and the pastor (my uncle) came and told her that if she went through with this she’d go straight to hell, she basically flipped him off and never looked back. She also came to the conclusion that she doesn’t believe that her two daughters (and the majority of her friends) were bound for hell, and she won’t support a belief system that does—I’m endlessly thankful that she made her way out, and hope that more will!

Anyway, keep speaking, and writing, and healing, and being your goddess-self. I’ll be over here cheering (and trying to do the same).
