According to my OBGYN basically everyone who’s sexually active these days have been exposed to both HPV and the Herpes virus—except only a very small percentage ever develops symptoms. That’s why taking blood to test for these are pointless, as they’ll show up anyway.

Anyway… great article Octavia Morrison!—I agree wholeheartedly and this would definitely be a dealbreaker for me too.
