One thing I’ve found is that quite a few men that claim to be into rough and dominant sex use it as an excuse to act like irresponsible and abusive assholes in bed — and know nothing of the psychology of D/s play, after-care (after-whaaaaat???).

It’s ok to normalize kink if the focus is on accepting that we’re all different and that’s ok. It’s not ok to use as a scapegoat for abuse, assault or any kind of inconsiderate behavior in bed. Copying the aesthetic of either porn or BDSM without proper knowledge of the philosophies and theories behind, it can be damaging and even extremely dangerous.
